The Maple Ridge–Pitt Meadows Christmas Hamper Society has been helping local families enjoy Christmas for decades, but they can’t do it without people like you. Every year, they rely entirely on sponsors, donations, and volunteers to provide grocery gift cards and Christmas gifts to families and children in need. By giving your time, making a monetary donation, or simply spreading the word, you can help ensure that struggling families in our community have a holiday to remember. Would you like to register?
Approved low-income families receive a grocery gift card towards Christmas dinner and gifts for children under 17 in the applicant’s full-time care.

Better watch out....We will be having a float in this years Santa Claus Parade. The parade gets underway at 6pm. We will have our elves giving out candy and we will be collecting any cash donations. As well, we will have a couple of bins under the Remax tent located at The Christmas In the Park to accept any donations of brand new toys for the Christmas Hamper. We appreciate any donations you are willing to give.
Choo choo.....A reminder that the West Coast Express are running their annual Santa Train this Saturday, 6th December. Bring an unwrapped new toy and get a free train ticket into Vancouver, and back again 🙂Times for the train stations are -Port Haney departs at 10:19 am Maple Meadows departs at 10:25 am Pitt Meadows departs at 10:29 amThe return train will depart Waterfront Station at 4pm.
We have had a few people state that they are unable to apply online through the website, so we will be accepting this limited number of people who are having these issues to apply in person on Monday 1st December but you must contact us by email to request an appointment - registration@mrpmchristmashamper.orgPlease note that you MUST bring the following information with you - • Current B.C. Government issued photo ID showing current address • BC Services Cards (care cards) for all people listed on the application showing current address • Current and previous months Assistance/Ministry stub (if applicable) showing current address • Oct and Nov bank statements for all bank accounts showing proof of income and expenditure. The address on the statements must show your current address • NOTE – The children named on the Application MUST be in your full time care and under the age of 17 years
