Let’s make a Difference

Christmas is a time to pause and reflect on the important things around us. Things like joy, love, family, giving, compassion and community. We want Christmas to be a happy time for everyone, especially for children. Help us relieve stress and anxiety put on families during this time of year. Let us work together towards a goal to give each child in our community a smile on their face on Christmas Day.

Donate Funds

The Christmas season can be a difficult time for many. When you donate to our organization, you make sure that a child has a gift under the tree, a family has enough food for their holiday dinner, and a caregiver can focus on the things that truly matter. It is easiest to give online, using our secure DONATION page. Once your donation is received, you will receive a receipt. Tax receipts are issued in January of each year. Alternatively, you can drop off cash donations at our various community drop-off locations listed HERE.

Donate Toys

The MRPM Christmas Hamper Society accepts unwrapped new toys, gift cards and cash donations at various drop off locations listed HERE. All gifts are appreciated, there is a particular need for gifts suitable for tweens and teens, and we try to limit the number of stuffed toys received as our barn is already overflowing with their cuteness. Your generosity means the world to us. Thank you.

Donate Used Items

Drop off gently used items until Friday, December 14th, at the Christmas Hamper Office only. Do not drop used donations in our community toy collection bins. We accept close to everything, except for furniture. Bring gently used items, such as clothes, winter gear, footwear, baby items (including part packages of unused diapers), bedding, household items, jewellery, toys, holiday decorations, gift bags, toys, giftware, and so on. Please make sure that it is in good, clean condition. We have a high need for bedding, all sizes, and towels. Thank you for thinking of us!

The Good Neighbour Program allows families and businesses to sponsor a family and we have always been blessed with the generosity of the local community. Please note that applications to sponsor families will be accepted up to 5th December. Download the application HERE. Once completed you will soon be contacted by our office with instructions and a matched family. Your care means so much, and will help brighten the lives of families within our community.

Thank You For Your Support!

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Toy Drive

December 5

On the first Saturday in December, our church building will is open to the neighbourhood as we collect gently used toys. The toys we collect that day are taken to the Christmas Hamper Society and made available for their Recycle Rudolph program (gifts and clothing provided for families in need). Our building is usually open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for toy collection.

West Coast Express Santa Train

December 8 – 15

Port Haney will be departing 10.19 a.m
Maple Meadows will be departing 10.25 a.m.
Pitt Meadows will be departing 10.29 a.m

The return train departs Vancouver at 4 p.m. on both Saturdays.
Once in Vancouver, you can enjoy a day of holiday sights and sounds before returning home.

What makes the Santa Trains special is that West Coast Express gives you a free WCE ticket when you bring along a new, unwrapped toy donation (worth about the same as a WCE pass) for your community Christmas Hamper. It’s a great way to give to those in need in your community and have a fun-filled day at the same time.
